Lionsgate has released the first teaser for The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard. Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson return as bodyguard Michael Bryce and criminal Darius Kincaid respectively in the sequel of the 2017 action-comedy The Hitman's Bodyguard. Salma Hayek as Darius’s wife Sonia Kincaid takes centre stage in the new movie. Antonio Banderas join the cast as the film's villain. Check out the teaser below.
The world’s most lethal odd couple – bodyguard Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) and hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) – are back on another life-threatening mission. Still unlicensed and under scrutiny, Bryce is forced into action by Darius’s even more volatile wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia Kincaid (Salma Hayek). As Bryce is driven over the edge by his two most dangerous protectees, the trio gets in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stands between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman (Antonio Banderas). Joining in the fun and deadly mayhem is Morgan Freeman as… well, you’ll have to see.
In addition to Reynolds, Jackson, Hayek and Banderas the cast features Richard E. Grant, Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo and Tom Hopper.
Patrick Hughes returns to the direct The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard. Original writer Tom O’Connor penning the story and the script alongside Phillip and Brandon Murphy.
The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard is scheduled for release on June 16, 2021.
