Pilou Asbaek Joins Jason Momoa in Aquaman 2

Pilou Asbaek, best known for his role in Game of Thrones as Euron Greyjoy, is in talks to join the Aquaman sequel.

According to Deadline, Danish actor Pilou Asbaek is in talks to join Jason Momoa in Aquaman 2. It is unknown what role Asbaek will play in the upcoming Aquaman sequel.

Asbaek is best known for his portrayal of the villainous Euron Greyjoy in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones. His film credits include Overlord, Run Sweetheart Run Outside the Wire, Ghost in the Shell, Ben-Hur and The Great Wall. He'll next be seen in Samaritan, co-starring with Sylvester Stallone.

The first Aquaman, released in 2018, grossed $1.14 billion worldwide. In the first film, Arthur Curry is forced to face his Atlantean origins when his scheming half-brother, the Ocean Master, plots to wage land war against humanity.

Jason Momoa is returning as Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman. Several other Aquaman cast members are expected to return, including Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Amber Heard as Mera and Yahya-Abdul Mateen II as Black Manta.

The plot of is Aquaman 2 being kept under wraps.

James Wan is returning to direct Aquaman 2. He will produce alongside Peter Safran. The script is being written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.

Aquaman 2 will be released in theatres on December 16, 2022.
