Entertainment TV & Movies

Sony released the first trailer for the highly-anticipated Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Eddie Brock and his symbiote companion return in the first trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

The new trailer gives us our first look at Carnage, the red symbiote villain hell-bent on causing chaos and destruction. In the teaser, Cleetus Cassady, a crazed serial killer, survives a lethal injection in prison that seems to awaken the symbiote known as Carnegie. We also see that Eddie Brock has come to terms with his new alter-ego Venom.

Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of MARVEL’s greatest and most complex characters. Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage.

Andy Serkis takes over directing duties for the sequel from Reuben Fleischer, who directed the first film. Venom grossed over $850 million worldwide at the box office and made it clear that this would not be the only film about the antihero.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is due in theatres on Sept. 24.
