James Wan Revealed Aquaman 2’s Title

The movie's title will be Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, director James Wan has revealed on Thursday in an Instagram post. The tide is rising, Wan wrote.

Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera and Patrick Wilson as Orm will reprise their roles in the sequel. Willem Dafoe, Nicole Kidman, Yahya Abdul-Mateen and Dolph Lundgren are also returning. Pilou Asbk is in talks to join the film.

The plot of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is being kept under wraps. James Wan is returning to direct Aquaman 2. The script is being written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.

The first Aquaman received favourable reviews and grossed more than $1.1 billion globally. In the film, Arthur Curry is forced to face his Atlantean origins when his scheming half-brother, the Ocean Master, plots to wage land war against humanity.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be released in theatres on December 16, 2022.
