Black Adam Unveils Release Date

On Sunday, Warner Bros. and DC Films announced Black Adam's official release date.

Black Adam will be released in theatres on July 29, 2022. The news was announced on Instagram by Dwayne Johnson, who portrays the titular superhero. The Rock announced the news by uploading a video of Black Adam taking over Times Square in New York City.

The film will be released just a few months after Shazam: Fury of the Gods.

Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, and Quintessa Swindell are among those expected to appear alongside Johnson in the comic book adaptation. Their respective characters will be Doctor Fate, Hawkman, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone.

Black Adam will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who also directed Jungle Cruise. The movie focuses on the titular character, who is also Shazam's long-time enemy. The plot is kept a secret. The film is supposed to show Black Adam's origin story and introduce the Justice Society of America.

Black Adam will be released in theatres on July 29, 2022.
