Magazine's My Monday Mornings Johnson shared insights into her wellness routine, shedding light on her remarkable sleep habits and the importance of prioritizing mental well-being.

The 34-year-old actress disclosed that she requires a minimum of 10 hours of sleep each night to function at her best, and she doesn't shy away from indulging in a luxurious 14-hour slumber when time permits.

"I’m not functional if I get less than 10," she said of her sleep habits. "I can easily go 14 hours."

Describing her sleep routine, Johnson remarked, “I don’t have a regular wake-up time. It depends on what’s happening in my life. If I’m not working, if I have a day off on a Monday, then I will sleep as long as I can. Sleep is my number one priority in life.” This proclamation resonates with many who recognize the importance of quality rest in the hustle and bustle of modern life.

But it's not just about sleep for Johnson; she maintains a holistic approach to her well-being. The actress is committed to a rigorous fitness routine, working out five days a week. Her regimen includes a mix of hot yoga, pilates, and body weight training, ensuring that physical activity is a constant in her daily life.

Johnson’s wellness routine extends beyond the realm of sleep and exercise. To manage anxiety, the actress turns to meditation, practicing transcendental meditation twice a day.

"I do transcendental meditation," she shared. "I’ve been really into breathwork recently and that’s been helping me a lot with anxiety."

Mental health has been a topic Dakota Johnson isn't afraid to discuss openly. In a 2020 interview with Marie Claire, she candidly spoke about her experience with depression since her teenage years.

Reflecting on her journey, she said, "I've learned to find it beautiful because I feel the world. I guess I have a lot of complexities, but they don't pour out of me. I don't make it anyone else's problem."

The Madam Web actress also uses baths to deal with stress of everyday life and will take them at any time of the day.

"I will get in a bathtub at any moment, any time of the day. If in the middle of the day, I’m like, 'Oh God, what is this world?' I’ll get in the bathtub. I find water really grounding.”, said the actress.

When it comes to food in the morning Johnson admitted, "I’m not really a breakfast person." However, she doesn't skip the morning caffeine ritual.

“But I have coffee as quickly as I can,” she said. “I love an oat milk flat white.”

As the winter holidays approach, Johnson advocates for a stress-free approach. Contrary to the traditional frenzy of holiday planning, she and her family prefer a more relaxed approach.

"My family doesn’t really have holiday traditions. We’re kind of free-flowing in that department. We’re all very good at not applying stress to each other to show up or behave in a certain way, which I think is really nice," she explained. "The holidays are stressful and especially with the world and the state that it’s in, just being quiet and spending time with people you love and make you feel good is better than forcing traditions that feel stressful."
