Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are adding to their family! Harington, who met Leslie on the set of HBO's hit series Game of Thrones, announced on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that they are expecting their second child.
When asked about his 2-year-old son, the Game of Thrones star revealed that he is about to become a big brother and confirmed that Rose is indeed pregnant.
“He’s about to get the shock of his life, which is that he’s about to get a brother or sister,” Harington told Fallon.
The actor went on to describe the difference in his mindset between his first pregnancy and this one. He jokingly noted that with the first baby, everything felt like a fairy tale, but with the second, reality quickly sets in.
“You know, with the first baby, you’re like walking on clouds and dancing through fields of daisies for nine months — well, the man is, anyway,” Harington joked. “But this time, the reality check comes much shorter. You get practical real quick."
In addition to discussing the excitement of becoming a parent again, Harington also touched on the enduring popularity of "Game of Thrones." He expressed surprise at the show's lasting impact and fan base, even after eight seasons.
“It’s kind of amazing that that show has still got such a fan base, and it’s continuing on in its own way,” he said.
He also touched on his possible return as Jon Snow in a future series. However, he remained tight-lipped about any concrete plans.
