Fans of Netflix's hit series Bridgerton will have to say goodbye to Daphne.

Phoebe Dynevor has confirmed that she will not be returning for the third season of Bridgerton.

The 27-year-old actress, who played the lead character Daphne Bridgerton in season one and returned as a guest star in season two, revealed in a recent interview with Screen Rant that she will not be returning for the upcoming season. Dynevor said she may return to Bridgerton in the future.

"Sadly not in season three. Potentially in the future. But in season three, I'm just excited to watch as a viewer.”, said the actor.

She joins Regé-Jean Page, who played Simon Basset, as one of the main actors to leave the Bridgerton universe.

The second season of the hit series Bridgerton focused on a new lead couple, Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma, with Daphne making an appearance with her child. Season three will continue the tradition of focusing on a new couple, Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington.

Fans can still look forward to seeing Anthony and Kate in the upcoming season despite Dynevor's absence. While it's sad to see Dynevor go, fans can rest assured that the Bridgerton universe is full of potential new stories and characters to love.
