Robert Downey Jr. Dethroned as Marvel’s Highest-Paid Star

Entertainment Celebrity

Robert Downey Jr. is no longer Marvel's highest-paid star, and you won't believe who dethroned him.

Even though Spider-Man: No Way Home just topped $1.5 billion at the box office, Tom Holland isn't even on the list of Marvel's six highest-paid stars.

In last place is Chris Hemsworth, who takes home £3,479.67 per second. Ahead of him is Mark Ruffalo, who earns £5,936.32 per second. In fourth place is Chris Evans with £5,976.77 per second. Scarlett Johansson, who stars as the Black Widow, takes third place. She received a salary of £7,545.45 for every second on-screen. Robert Downey Jr is currently in second place with £11,000 per second.

In first place is Jeremy Renner, who earns a mind-boggling £12,160.37 per second he's on-screen in all Marvel movies. Renner is vague about his future in the Marvel universe.

"Spider-Man: No Way Home" just eclipsed all other Marvel films since 2021 combined, at the box office. So we can expect Tom Holland to take the top spot on the list very soon. But for now, Renner remains Marvel's highest-paid star.
